Many other important names in the poker world showed up for day one, including Chris Moneymaker, who won the main event in 2003, who ended with 107,425 to his name and Vitaly Lunkin who holds 82,000 chips. Some important names also fell during day one, including Greg Raymer, Mike Caro, Nick Schulman and Ray Romano.
The second calendar day of the first day of the World Series of Poker Main Event started with almost 1,500 poker players, part of which played in the Amazon room while others had to move to the Pavilion. Big names were out of the freeroll poker during this day, like Jamie Gold, Justin Bonomo, Erick Lindgren and Bertrand Grospellier.
On the other hand, some great poker players remain in the poker championship after day two of the first day, including Jason DeWitt, chip leader James Danielson, Robert Miller and Vladimir Schemelev. The Main Event will now continue with the third and fourth calendar days of competition. Day 2 of the championship will also be divided in two calendar days due to the number of poker players.
